How to compile TypeScript in Visual Studio?

installed VS2013, creating a TypeScript file, gives "Unknown compiler option 'listemittedfiles'" error when I try to compile. Did exactly as on metanit.com/web/typescript/1.3.php
Please help me figure it out. Or recommend another site with tutorials. Thanks in advance.
