How to compile cpp file in Visual Studio?

I created a project in visual studio (windows console application), worked, after a while I opened it and instead of the "Local windows debugger" button - "Attach". How to create projects so that this does not happen? And why did this happen, if not difficult, please also explain.

Most likely because you opened a separate .cpp file , and you need to open a project solution with a .sln extension .
