How to come up with names for Linux utilities?

There are utilities whose names are obvious: pwd(print worked directory), ls(list), nmap(network mapper).
And there are some that are not obvious: grep, cat, hydra (here the name is not related to the functionality).
The question is that it is difficult for me to come up with names for my developments. I'm trying to make an acronym from words according to the meaning, but every time the name looks "not presentable"

Acronyms are popular in the Linux world, especially recursive ones.

From the bullshit.
Why is the raccoon called the raccoon and the swan called the swan? Why KDE? (not PDE, not MDE, not UDE)? I usually choose names to somehow reflect the functionality, but if it doesn't work out - yes, to hell with it :)

Ask yourself what your program does. The word with which they began to answer and consider it to be the name. I also add a "mustache" at the end (and did it even before Lebedev, damn it).
