The essence of the problem: by default, the address books of mail clients add to themselves the emails to which you sent letters. The task is to pull out all email addresses: from sent letters and from incoming letters too.
There is an addon in Thunderbird that solves the issue https://addons.mozilla.org/en/thunderbird/addon/em... but it is no longer updated or supported by Thunderbird.
