How to collect a portfolio?

How to collect a portfolio, if at permanent jobs, they usually demanded to do garbage?
Namely, stupid advertising banners with the words "discount, promotions and others" and other purposeless events, advertising in direct (successful) with a link to products whose cards could not be filled out (excuse from the boss, there is no time for content, you need to sell), in which real knowledge had to be applied at most by a couple of percent.
Of course, it’s good that you get money almost for free, but after six years of work, you look at what you have created and are horrified.
I would like to collect an adequate portfolio, which is not ashamed to boast.

A high-quality portfolio can be collected on freelance by completing tasks. If you have experience, then finding a customer will not be a problem. Plus, indeed, you can offer cases. Also, you can find friends who need promotion, and help for a minimal fee - they feel good, and you are a plus for your portfolio. There are options, it will take some time.

Select 5 of your best works, there are 100% of them in five years.
Pack in a detailed story, pictures, graphics, with live feedback (optional).
5 well-packed works are better than 20 badly-packaged ones.

If you are paid money at work for beautiful eyes, then you may well find time to work as a freelancer and fulfill orders “for the soul” and portfolio there. In other words, you can develop a portfolio and the competencies you need by choosing the orders you like.

It will take you a year to actually get 10 interesting projects and thus fill your portfolio to capacity.

I recommend the sites hh.ru, freelance.ru and weblancer.net. Just do not forget that on these sites you need to try to get good customer reviews.
By the way, freelancing is also good because, in addition to a portfolio, you can accumulate a dozen good reviews. You will be able to show you to future employers how valued you are in freelancing and how experienced you are.

Moreover, thanks to this, you will not even be able to really increase your salary thanks to this : you can tell that you are a freelance guru and a very experienced specialist.
If you do not want to waste your time on freelancing, then you have only one way out: quit your job and look for a new, more promising and serious one.
It is possible that you will be paid less at your new job than at your old one. But for you, as I understand it, it is important to do real work in your specialty and gain new professional knowledge.
