How to choose an uninterruptible power supply for a home WI-FI router?
Hello.
There was a need for an uninterruptible power supply for a home WI-FI router. Or some other alternative, for example, a router with a battery. But I did not find these, only portable ones.
The UPS should withstand 1.5-2 hours. The router itself consumes 12V, 0.5A.

Economy option: Battery for uninterruptible power supply 5 Ah 12 Volt or 7 Ah, and the cheapest automatic charger from a car shop. It should be enough for 10 hours, while the battery is new. It will be enough for a couple of hours, as the battery "wears out" - in 3-4 years.
If you want to power from 12 volts, then you can use backup power supplies for security and video systems.
I fully agree with the proposal to use backup power supplies for security systems (IVEPR, etc.)
And what is the point of using a UPS for a router? After all, most likely, if the electrical network fails, power will also be lost on the routers / switches of the provider .. If you only support the internal grid ..
