Why did the potentiometer lose contact?

After soldering the tips, one of the three contacts on the potentiometer disappeared.

If before that it was, then only overheating remains when soldering.
Although, after soldering and before measuring resistance - was it included in the circuit? If yes, please provide a diagram.
