How to choose a relatively old laptop up to $300-400?
I needed a laptop for study, more precisely for laboratory work on cisco.
Preferably on a budget no higher than $400, I will take it hand-made on ebay, cosmetic details are not important, the main thing is to be smart on the CPU / GPU / RAM / HDD. I would like a model with a battery reserve of
at least 5-6 hours and not to get too hot. I will install linux or fryakha (it is also desirable that there are no problems with firewood).
Does anyone have models in mind, or anything to that effect? Thanks

With hands and 5-6 hours - it is unrealistic. It’s easier then to order a new battery in parallel to the beech
lenovo t61 with an increased used battery is sold a lot, you can easily find it for $ 300
found Lenovo G570 for $320. Tomorrow I'll go and see what kind of animal.
Asus ul20a will be about the same price, it lives autonomously for 6 hours, the only minus is a rather weak processor. In his put ssd became very smart.
Our admin took himself for 8 thousand HP with a docking station. True, there is a Stump with one core, but the admin is satisfied, and the beech looks very cheerful, which is very important for configuring Cisco.
