How to choose a laptop with a docking station for work?
I choose a laptop for work.
Previously (2015) there was Fujitsu with a docking station, the experience is purely positive: simple and reliable, it pulls tasks. Haven't followed the market in recent years. In order not to read / watch 100500 reviews and ask for advice from the collective mind.
Docking station requirements: parked with a simple movement and received:
- 1-2 monitors
- download
- USB (keyboard, mouse)
Usage scenarios:
- IDE (PhpStorm, 2-3 windows)
- local web application development (docker, up to 15 containers)
- video conferencing
- the rest is standard: Linux (Debian), browser, mail client, chat messengers...
What is suitable on the market now? What do you recommend from your experience?

Any laptop with USB type-c charging. This port now supports the Universal Dock.
And if you are not too lazy to plug in two wires (power and USB), then any modern laptop. Moreover, this option will be more powerful.
