How to choose a headset with good noise cancellation?

The situation is as follows: I work remotely in a coworking space, the boss complains that I can hear what is happening around me. I want to find a headset whose microphone will hear me well, but filter out what is around (I'm not sure if this is called noise reduction). And preferably compact.
Now I use regular earpods.

the problem is solved by a directional microphone or a stereo microphone with software processing - the same directional microphone is obtained.
