How to choose a CMS for a personal knowledge base (a set of pages with a structure)?
I wanted to make a small site like a personal knowledge base. I installed mediawiki, but I realized that it is too complicated and cumbersome. Has concluded. that at the output I just need a structured set of pages. I found the closest example on Artemy Lebedev's website , where he publishes stories about his travels ( www.tema.ru/travel ). That is, there is a set of pages with stories, grouped by years, countries, etc. Are there any ready-made solutions for this?

Try notion.so - I found it recently and couldn't be happier. There is a page tree, search, links between pages, semantic formatting, inserting photos, videos, maps, even TeX. There are no tables and tags, but they promise that in the near future.
Hardly better than WP you will find. At a more or less acceptable level, you implement all the elements. Cataloging, tags, photos, code, etc.
PS I'm generally a fan of Modx. There, literally with a couple of additions, solve the issue, but not completely. I mean pdoTools+Tickets(Minishop2)+mSearch2
