Why are sitemap plugins throwing 500 errors?

When I install any sitemap plugin, when I enter it from the components, I get a 500 error. Already tried 5 plugins. Joomla version 2.5. I have only one assumption - MSSQL is used as a database on the site, maybe plugins just don't work with it?
