How to check the diodes on the TV at home?
How to check the diodes on the TV at home?
There are no specials. bells and whistles to check. Only different power supplies from mobile phones.
Who, what will advise, how and what can be checked?
Thanks

Backlight. I’m sure by 90 percent, there is no sound, there are no images, but in the light you can barely catch the TV icons and the TV menu itself
Yes, I wanted to check for performance
What diodes and where? What about in the power supply?
If there is not even a banal multimeter, then nothing.
I haven’t tried it myself (our multimeter is everything), but in principle this is possible. We take half a potato and a five-volt DC power supply (preferably with a current limit of no more than the maximum forward current of the diodes, if any). If you stick the leads of the power supply into the potato, the potato will quickly turn green at the positive pole. And, if you assemble a circuit through a diode, you can, by changing its polarity, check the flow of current in the forward direction (the current must flow, respectively, the potato will also turn green) and in the opposite direction (it will not turn green). If the diodes are more powerful and there is a 12V power supply, then instead of a potato, a glass of water will go, in which you need to dissolve a tablespoon of salt somewhere and lower two electrodes (wires) from opposite sides. In this case, gas (hydrogen) will be released at the negative electrode as the current flows.
