How to change the resources of a compiled game through the resources.assets file?

Good afternoon.
There is a game on unity (not mine), the price for the goods is too high in the game, I would like to lower it. I found information about the product in the resources.assets file. It's all about the product, from the description and name, to the price. So, the problem is that I try to change the file through notepad ++, after which the game stops working. I delete the changes, return everything as it was - the game works again. Not only the price cannot be changed, even if you add a space anywhere and save - the game stops working. There was an idea that the matter was in the encoding (notepad adds some invisible character), but when I delete my changes and click "save" - the game still works, so that's not the point. It seems that there is another similar file with resources, which is compared with this one when the game starts, and if they are different, the game freezes and no longer works.

The question is, how can I change without prejudice to the game? Maybe some software? In the search, I did not find anything on this topic, except for the office. compilation documentation.

You can't just take and add a space to a binary file. You need to unpack the resources, modify them, and then pack them back. There used to be a tulza, but now it is not relevant. So save your money and don't cheat.
