Does it matter where the files are located?

It seemed to me more convenient this design of file placement.

That is, everything in the resources folder, it is so convenient for me to jump between scripts, prefabs, scenes, pictures, etc.
As they say, everything is in one place ...
But is this correct, or does it matter where they lie?
It’s just that in which project I don’t look everywhere in the resources folder there are exactly pictures, prefabs, music.
But scenes, scripts and other things always lie separately.
Can you explain - is it just a habit to arrange files like this or is there something in it?

@Zefirot

The folder Resourceshas a special meaning, everything in it will be packed into resources even if you don't seem to be using them. Therefore, it is better to add there, only what will be loaded by the code.

Of course habit, location can not affect performance in any way. In the end, everything is built into one file :/
