How to change the resolution of an external monitor?

I connected a 2K monitor to my laptop. In the settings there is an option only 1920x1080. The picture is terrible. Previously, I somehow chose 2560x1440 on the same monitor when connected to the same laptop, but I don’t remember what I did for this

The problem was solved by restarting the PC.
