How to change site structure in Joomla 3.6?

Hello!

There is a site on Joomla 3.6 on which there are several thousand articles posted by type "site/category/region/post" .

What is the easiest way and without serious losses for SEO to change the posting structure to "site / category / post" , i.e. remove "region" from the path?

I tried to manually transfer, but it is very inconvenient to put down permanent redirect links later.

There are few options:
- either manually (there is a batch processing of materials - transfer to the desired category)
- or programmatically, write a plugin that will shorten the URL. But in the end, the difference between the front and the admin area will get you and you will transfer it anyway.
