How to change resolution on Ubuntu 14.04?

Hey!
Decided to install Ubuntu 14.04. But there is a problem with the video card driver. Video card built-in Intel. The lspci command produces the following:

sudo lspci | grep 'VGA'
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)

sudo lspci -v -s 00:02.0
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd Device d000
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 41
  Memory at fb800000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4M]
  Memory at e0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
  I/O ports at ff00 [size=64]
  Expansion ROM at <unassigned> [disabled]
  Capabilities: [90] MSI: Enable+ Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit-
Capabilities: [d0] Power Management version 2
  Capabilities: [a4] PCI Advanced Features
  Kernel driver in use: i915

I installed this installer - https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads?keys=&downl... - but the list of screen resolutions was not updated (now there are 800x600 and 1024x768). In which direction to dig?

@mr_Verman

See mana for cvt and xrandr commands.
With the help of the first you create the parameters of the required mode, with the help of the second you add it to the system.

What specific video card?
If the new HD3xxx / 4xxx then everything should be fine, if the other - then specify which one exactly.
