How to change pulbic_html to public on hosting?

At the moment I am raising the project on PHP (Laravel)
There is a public_html folder on the host, I need it to be either just public
Or public makes a link to it.
I have a hosting without access to the console :) Normal :)
Therefore, I heard about the .htaccess file, but it's not there.
What do you advise?

In some panels, you can set the root directory, you can also create a symlink through cron, for example, or through any PHP shell (if the processes work with user rights).
