How to change network interface name in FreeBSD?

Good day everyone!
There is a server with two network interfaces on which ESXi 6.5 is installed, a server on freebsd was transferred to it (proxy, billing, dns zone, FireWall). ESXi is accessed through em0 and vlanA (tagged traffic), the VM is accessed through the same interface but through vlanB (access is provided). The second interface of the em1 server is thrown directly into the VM and is visible in it just like em1. In the server on freebsd, em0 was directly connected to the cisco ASA and em1 was connected to the switch (looks at the LAN). Now it's the other way around. The question is, can you only change the ip addresses of the interfaces, or does the system have parameters that are tied to the names of the interfaces? if the latter, how to replace the names of the interfaces?
I found these terms that need to be written in rc.conf:
ifconfig_em0_name="em1"
ifconfig_em1_name="em0"
As I understand it, they need to be written at the beginning of the file.

Change the port groups (vlanA and vlanB are the names of the port groups, as I understand it) on the interfaces in the virtual machine setup in VMware, and you won’t have to make crutches.
