How to calculate weight in sphinx?

added different data with different texts, somewhere less, somewhere more I make a request

SELECT id, weight() as weight FROM new_index  LIMIT 0, 10;

all weight is equal to 1, is it correct to think so or what am I doing wrong? Or is the data small that it rounds everyone up to 1?

Maybe you should first understand this and the question of why it is equal to one will automatically fall off.
