How to bypass PayPal's age limit?

A friend asks,
“Hello. I would like to know more about the procedure for registering a PayPal account (mainly needed to pay for small purchases in foreign online stores) for a minor (16 years old). Having googled, I found out that you can just lie about your age, but also read about the case when PayPal froze the account and said to verify your identity and age as well. So I would like to know the best way to do this. Thank you in advance."
Thanks for answers.

The easiest way (and correct) is to register an account for parents / guardians. This is also connected with money, such nonsense as “lying about age”, in no case should you do it.

By the way, if he registers an account in his own name, but with a fake age, then problems can arise at any time, even after he turns 18 years old. After the lie is revealed, PayPal may not allow him to register a new account. I don’t see anything good in being banned in such a popular system as PayPal.

Feel free to register, they will check the age only if you actively sell goods or services. If you only buy, then all "us army" on you, if only the money was clean. There will be problems with documents, such as if documents are required in some magical case, then write to me, I will help you resolve the issue during the day. Good luck.

A strategically correct option is to register an account not for yourself, but upon reaching the age of 18, already make your own, real one.
