How to build a private cloud architecture?
Good day colleagues!
There was one question regarding cloud computing. Given 3 servers + 2 web developers. It is necessary to make a private cloud out of these resources, due to the lack of system administration skills, I don’t know what to grab onto and where to start. After three days of googling, the picture began to clear up - we combine the servers into a local network, launch a cluster on CentOS (for example), and then the mess begins - virtualization, hypervisors, virtual machines, KVM, VMWare, OpenVZ ... There is a lack of a smart book, a useful article, an understandable scheme, wise advice for all this to line up. If you have a link or advice, please share.
The bottom line is that you need either 1 OS that will use the resources of all physical machines, or several virtual machines that, if necessary, can use the resources of more than one physical machine.
Thank you very much in advance!

Will you also use 2 developers to distribute the load, connect their brains to the cluster via ethernet? :)
If without humor, then you have a mess in your head and there is no understanding of what a cloud is. First, formulate your problem and question correctly.
Install Debian 7 Wheezy and run an OpenVZ or Xen virtual machine with Windows under it and allocate about 2 gigs of RAM to it. Get on Windows and give it to web developers.
It's hard to say anything based on the information you provided.
if we take some simple web application as an example:
* a pool of web servers that will serve it
* a balancer or a set of balancers that will spread the load over a pool of web servers
, and then, depending on the specific need
The topic is very extensive, I think there is no universal book
if English is ok

there are the first couple of modules about the cloud concept in general
It depends on what technologies you know and can do.
create a cluster for three hosts with a bunch of virtual machines - please, at least on MS Hyper-V Server (free, 2012R2 has 2nd place in the list), at least on VMWare ESXi (free, but with limitations on one physical processor, 1st place in the list)
At least on Xen (free, 3rd place on the list).
look aside www.openstack.org I
use it in production and on more loaded projects.
