How to boot "legacy" Linux into UEFI mode?
Hello everyone, I have a MSI GX70 3BE laptop with Windows 8.1 preinstalled, the BIOS works in UEFI mode AND secure boot. I decided to install Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon as a second system and didn’t understand anything:
- In UEFI mode, it doesn’t load Linux (tried different distributions) even without installation, it means I switched BIOS to legacy mode and installed Linux ..
Total: in legacy mode , I immediately boot mint . And to boot Windows, I have to switch to UEFI mode.
And how can I now make the Linux bootloader visible in UEFI mode?
How can I do it humanly?
Need to install grub-efi?
Or am I "lucky" to live like this? )
I'm quite confused in the information that I tried to read) If you can tell me sequentially and point by point, thanks)

Put Grub and you will be happy.
In general, somewhere in the Linux file system (I don’t remember where) there are system loaders, and so, there is a Win8 bootloader, but there is no Linux, you can do it in the next folder, but then it will point to grub .. on topic
