How to become an IS specialist?

I want to start programming seriously, and also go into the field - cybersecurity. Since I am a teapot and found little information on the Internet, I decided to ask here.
1) What language to study for this area?
2) Do I need to know more than one language for my interests? What?
3) I decided to start learning from the pros, advise good literature. And in general, is this the right decision?
4) Tell us a little about this area, what do you need to know? What resources to visit?

And we are immediately faced with a logical inconsistency. Information security is not even about programming at all (although you need to know programming, but specific knowledge is needed). Information security is mainly about people and ... papers.
Information security is a lot of boring work, it's a lot of papers, documents, regulations, it's knowledge of the law and forced monitoring, for example, of the geopolitical situation.
IB is sometimes about work that at first seems cool, but in reality is extremely unpleasant.
IS is a proxy, firewalls and SMP
Did you think that - IS is a hacker romance?
1) What language to study for this area?

assembler, C, bash
2) Do I need to know more than one language for my interests? What?

Already listed. Knowledge of Perl/Python can be useful for automating complex things that are not written in bash
And in general, is this the right decision?

No. Only in the most general sense.
what do you need to know?

Legislation. Admin job. Psychology. Office work (I'm not kidding - drawing up documents, regulations, instructions - this is also information security). Networks and network devices. X.509 Certificates

In order to become an information security specialist, you need to:
Learn to INDEPENDENTLY (!!!!!!!) look for answers to your questions. Well, at least on the very resource on which you decided to ask your super-unusual, unique and inimitable question.
If you can't do that, then no. If you have found little information on this topic on the Internet, then this means that you have not yet learned how to search.
Well, just three seconds of searching:
Where to start studying information security?
What to study to become an infosec specialist?
How to become an information security specialist?
What is the best way to delve into IB?
Can you recommend any information security resources and literature?
How to retrain as a specialist in the field of information security?
What books do you recommend?
How to start studying IB?

TS probably means not IS, but pentest / ethical hacking, but that's another story.
