How to become a system administrator on your own and what exams to take?

Good day.
I want to become a system administrator, but I don't know what knowledge a system administrator should have. I just know that you have to be a specialist in computer networks. Still interested in what exams can be taken to obtain certificates, preferably cheap or free.

Usually, system administrators start with an enikey manager, because without experience and knowledge of how to solve problems, no one will let you into the servers.
And Enikey is a rather complicated profession, there is only experience, experience and once again experience in order to develop intuition, the ability to quickly search for information and process it on the fly. There are no books on how to treat viruses and fix driver problems.
Exams are not really needed, if you have experience, the employer looks at it. And so - CCNA, Microsoft.
The basis is self-learning.

From the exams themselves, or rather, certificates, there is little sense. But the literature on preparation is worth reading. CCNA, RHCE, Microsoft - depending on the chosen path.
You need to look for work either as an enikey worker, or, if you are interested in the network, as a support in providers. It is important not to stay there for a long time, but, having gained experience, to raise the bar.

Wings ... legs ... The main thing is Moscow! :)
The first and most important skill of an admin in his work is the ability to independently formulate a request to a search engine, find an answer and use it correctly. The topic "how to become an admin" on the toaster in popularity competes with the topic "how to quickly and earn a lot as a web programmer".
They don't learn to become administrators - they become them. It is impossible to "learn" to be a regiment commander - you must first graduate from a military school, get a lieutenant rank, and gradually, gaining experience, rise to the rank of colonel.
As a rule, everything starts with an enikey - a kind of "give-bring-leave-do-not-hinder" in the IT department. Working with enikem will teach you how to crimp patch cords, change cartridges in printers and communicate with users in specific departments (accounting, sales, purchases - in many places these teams are staffed entirely by representatives of the better sex - with the appropriate level of intelligence). It will also teach you how to solve another hundred thousand of millions of problems that arise for the user.
The step up is usually taken when you think you're ready to leave. Well, it can also happen that something happens to the administrator at the current place (the most exotic reason known to me is that the administrator went on a two-week binge, after which he was immediately fired) - and you are promoted.
Exams are not particularly needed - they can take them without them, it happens that even without experience (or with minimal experience) they take. Although the basic courses of Tsiska or M$ will certainly not be out of place.
The desk book of any admin is Olifer :) Yes, this is a hint :)

A simple scheme - you look at several vacancies on hh.ru (7-10), write out duties and requirements, google and learn, then you try to get a job as an intern or in some small company, work for 6-10 months, confirm knowledge with practice. and go to work for a better company.
