How to beat black screen on Acer Aspire?
There is an ancient Acer Aspire 1642z WLMi.
Intel graphics.
Windows XP preinstalled.
The physical condition is five plus minus - the screen has not faded and without broken pixels, the wifi is stable, the sound is clear, there are no chips on the case, the disk does not clang, usb is not dead, all the keys are without sticking and distortions.
Problem: Sometimes the screen becomes almost black. The picture is there, but barely visible.
Everything else works, it is clear from the sound that Windows is starting up, you can turn it off, put it into sleep or standby mode.
It starts and ends unpredictably. Sometimes there are no weeks, sometimes vice versa.
Sometimes when you turn on the picture appears and after a second it goes out.
It appeared a few years ago, went away on its own, recently started again.
What I tried:
1) Update BIOS from ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_16...
2) Reset BIOS: F2, F9, Enter, F10, Enter
3) Connect an external monitor
4) Unplug the power cable, remove the battery, press the power button for 30 seconds
5) Fn + 5, Fn + 6 (switch from the built-in display to an external one; turn off the display)
It's useless.
Google finds tons of articles for the query "acer aspire blank screen", but there is no solution in them (or there is, but they did not help me).
Does this problem even have a solution?
