There are about 1000 photos, in the right place in the right font and size you need to write numbers from 1 to 1000. One photo - one number in the right font and size

You can also use imageMagic and edit the photos with a script.
You can also make a python script and use the PIL library for editing. The most visual and manageable way in my opinion.

XnView - there in the "Batch processing" dialog there is add text and watermark.
