How to avoid fire and problems when operating electrical equipment at home without supervision?

Like many, my family goes to work during the day; our apartment is empty part of the time, but for work I somehow need access to a PC and my files (I’m thinking of raising a VPN for remote connection and working both with virtual machines and stupidly using faster hardware for some calculations), apart from questions of bills for electricity and equipment settings (2 PCs, one with i7, another file washer on the G3220), the question arises of how to protect the equipment from possible problems and the apartment itself from fire (there is a lot of wood in the rooms, because the furniture is chipboard, the floors are on logs).
An RCD was installed in the shield, there are 16A Schneider brand machines, an additional line for a PC was installed, now I’m thinking about smoke detectors and controlled sockets from these sensors ... insurance ... what else? How do you solve such a problem?

One of the most common causes of fires is an electrical short circuit. It can occur due to the fact that a faulty electrical appliance is connected to the network, or the insulation of the wire is broken, which leads to the connection of two conductors and a sharp increase in their temperature and subsequent ignition.
In addition, short circuits often create sparks that can ignite nearby combustible materials. This situation can be avoided completely by observing the fire safety requirements for electrical installations.
You can learn more about the requirements for fire safety at www.vvsev.com/, and ask questions to specialists there.
Important! The most important fire safety rule in the operation of electrical installations is the requirement to disconnect them from the network after the end of use. Do not operate electrical equipment in the absence of a person, as this may lead to fire. Only those devices that are necessary for life support can be permanently connected to the network.
