How to attach a text file to the Unity panel in Ubuntu?

But this is the tenth thing. Maybe there is a way without tweaks?

There is no direct solution. Unity was utterly dumbfounded. You can build a bike and add a cairo dock to the system. It is highly configurable. You can add whatever you want to it.
