How to apply settings from .ovpn?

There is a *.ovpn
file How to give it to the openvpn settings on ubuntu?
Tried like this:
sudo openvpn --config /etc/openvpn/*.ovpn

But something didn't work

Name the file properly and try again.

When "something didn't work" - they go and read the application logs.
What's in the openvpn log?
If not, enable it in the config file.
