How to apply a pattern to an object in Photoshop?
Hello, please tell me how to apply a pattern to an object? I searched all youtube and manuals, I can not find a solution.
How to be? Is it necessary to select an object using a lasso? What about complex objects?
How about this object:
Overlay this pattern?

I would make a mask, overlay a pattern with it, apply a soft-light bw layer from a copy of the original object to preserve chiaroscuro and texture. Perhaps in some cases it would be cheaper to model and render the object in 3d, so as not to suffer from perspective corrections.
At a minimum, the top of the seat and the inner sidewalls of the sofa sides will require perspective distortion of the pattern. This can be done in the shop through Vanishing Point.
But in a good way, and all the rounding of the pillows distort the geometry of the pattern. Therefore, photoshop is not enough here.
Therefore, it is better to solve the problem with a sofa in 3D, as already advised (for example, Cinema 4D).
