How to allow recursion only for trusted addresses in Windows 10 Home?
The DNS server supports query recursion. How to allow recursion only for trusted addresses in Windows Home?
XSpider shows vulnerability on 53tcp and 53udp ports. "The DNS server supports query recursion. Under certain circumstances, a DoS attack on the server is possible. Solution: Only allow recursion for trusted addresses."
Question: how exactly to do this? I began to rummage on the Internet, they ask me to find the conf file in the system and add lines, but there is no such file (either I'm blind and not looking there), or go to the server manager, which I don't have in my home Windows 10 either, and uncheck allowing recursion. XSpider suggests a solution, but how to do it?
what to do?
about dns port 53 udp it is indicated:
Vulnerability: attack Dos-attack (flooding)
A vulnerability has been discovered in the DNS service. An attacker, once sending a large number of DNS requests on behalf of another vulnerable DNS server (or on behalf of the same server), can cause an endless cycle of requests and responses, which will lead to a denial of service (DoS).

What exactly did you set xspider on? Something tells me - what's on the IP of your router. And in fact, they show you the vulnerability of the dns server on your router .... And there - either a firewall, or settings, or another router ....
