How to adjust the brightness in Linux Mint so that it does not jump when switching the battery charging mode?
Hello.
There is an old laptop. It has a dead battery with a maximum charge level close to 0%. The laptop is constantly connected to the outlet.
I installed Linux Mint 19.
I set the brightness through "System Settings - Power Management - Battery Power".
I set the brightness to my liking.
While the battery is charging, the brightness is maintained.
After 2 minutes, the battery stops charging. Power management switches to another mode (on battery). Brightness settings are reset to default values.
This mode (on battery power) lasts 5 seconds. Even if I manage to change the brightness, after 5 seconds the laptop switches to charging mode. And the brightness becomes default again.
And so in a circle.
How can I configure Linux Mint scripts to use the last custom brightness value when switching power mode?
