How to activate adb in windows 8.1?

People, please help, I've been poking into this crap for a week now!
the whole problem is that due to the fact that I have crooked hands, and I unsuccessfully reflashed Android on my Htc One X +, now I can’t do anything with this phone at all, even reflash back to stock firmware!
the following happens - I enter debug mode on the phone, connect it to usb, the computer sees it, I go to cmd, I enter fastboot devices, and it displays it in the list, but as soon as I do adb devices - the list is empty! please help, tell me what to do with it ... rummaged through a bunch of English-language forums, fucking videos with instructions, downloaded drivers for a bridge over usb of all stripes, adb still does not see it ... if possible, ask about the output of certain commands , or if you need screenshots with information about the driver, I'll post everything ...

The same problem, only under the eight. I found a solution - to flash from under the seven, tk. adb is not friendly with 8.x.

You need to go to a more specialized site - ask around on the w3bsit3-dns.com forum, where people often indulge in flashing. See what they recommend.

You need to tweak the Google driver from the SDK. That is, android_winusb.inf by adding the lines %SingleAdbInterface%, %CompositeAdbInterface% with the device ID. Also add vendor code to adb_usb.ini. And everything will be good.
