How should you take care of the Vertex 4 SSD?

I bought an SSD OCZ Vertex 4 128 gb. Since the AMD SB700 in the gigabyte mother did not recognize the drive as bootable, it connected the Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller to the system through a separate controller. Transferred the Windows 7 system to it from the hard drive with Acronis.
Now the question arose, is it necessary to carry out measures to extend the life of the ssdshnik? Disable some functions there, on the contrary enable?
Also, how do you check block alignment?

There is a very useful program SSD Mini Tweaker. Website www.spb-chas.narod.ru/ . Very convenient for configuring the main parameters that affect the life of the SSD.

Disconnect it from all wires, wrap it in three layers in pimply polyethylene, put it in a box in a dark and dry place, do not forget to attach a bag of silica gel, and your SSD will please you for many years, and if you are lucky, then decades, and you will pass it on as new to your children and grandchildren.

I don't care, and I still have 1st/2nd vertices working fine

I used SSD Fresh - it itself disables all OS functions that are harmful to SSDs.
I also moved the paging file to another disk.

I don't care at all, I just change the dying ssd under warranty.

The most, IMHO, simple alignment check under Windows is the AS SSD program. Shows OK/BAD among other information.
But I agree with DevMan - it's not so relevant anymore.
