How relevant is C# 4.0: The Complete Guide by Herbert Schilt?
I want to learn C# to program with Unity. To start, I chose this book to learn the basics. But how relevant is it for 2017, because C# 7.0 is already in the yard?
I would like to make sure that the subject is unfounded and that after reading it will be enough to get acquainted with the innovations of the next versions, or is it better to study from something more recent?

The fundamentals are unchanged. And new features are mostly sugar.
With normal mastery of 4.0 - everything new that appeared in 5,6,7 is calmly assimilated in 15 minutes with an emotional assessment of "oh, it's more convenient."
Even new books (in the original) come out with damage in relevance. When the hands of our publishers reach them and they are translated, they become even more outdated. You want to learn a language from a book that differs by 3 major versions from the current version. Take something new.
