How not to get confused in the layout?

There is a site with about 10 pages, 4 fonts and several of their variations. Dealing with styles "on the go" of work very quickly css turns into a mess. How to develop a method for preliminary analysis of the site layout so that there are no unpleasant surprises in the middle of the work done?

@qork

Use SASS or LESS instead of CSS

Use preprocessors, there are variables there
Or divide css into fonts, layout and "miscellaneous"
