How negatively will search engines react to multiple duplication of pages on the site?

Good evening.
Actually, the subject: you need to make multiple copies of the same content to different addresses. I plan to use rel="canonical" to indicate the address of the original, but I read that search engines may still be negative about such perversions.
Is it so?
Thanks in advance.

From Google's point of view - why index (waste resources) content that has already been indexed once? Duplicate pages, and therefore not only content, but also tags, will not lead to anything good.
Why do you copy the same content?
