How much do you need to know HTML layout in django?

I took a course on HTML layout, but I realized that I just can't stand layout, and in general design is not mine. The same goes for CSS. I like programming more. Actually, the question is: does a django developer need to know html layout or just the basics?

If you want to go freelancing and do the back-end part, that is, the layout is already ready, and you transfer everything, then the basics are enough, and if you want to do it from scratch, then of course you need to take a layout designer as a couple

Layout and design are two different things. Modern layout requires the thinking of a programmer. From the formulation of the question, I see that you were initially biased in the layout.
If you don't like working on the client's logic, go to pure back. There are more than enough tasks purely for backing.
