How many external links can you put on a new site?

Hello. We just launched a site that basically has 2 external links (from two domains, that is). Team Lead of Seo of one company said that the first three months you can put no more than 10 external links per month, and then no more than 15?

Isn't the number too small? Or is it really putting down 60-80 links per month (high-quality) and on various resources, forums, blogs, comments can damage the site?

They said everything is right, so simulate the situation. You created a site, it's new, and then they began to put links on it, what should Google think? That's right, these are purchased links! Busta won't give it to you.
+ forums are such, the last century)

By the number of links, you can decide by analyzing competitors in the search results for promoted queries. Those. choose young sites for promoted queries in Z/G and analyze their link profile.

Choose in the TOP20 sites with an age of 3-12 months. See the dynamics of link growth through Ashefs and roughly draw conclusions about how much you need to buy per month.

The process is time-consuming and there is an option not to find similar ones at all, or to find them only in Yandex, where there are often PF-inflated sites, and it is categorically impossible to take them into analysis.
At the same time, look at what types of links and from what sites competitors purchased and decide whether to receive links from the same donors. Therefore, in any case, the time spent will be spent with benefit.
