How is the term "Flight" different from the term "Route"?

I develop a database on the instructions of a teacher in the case tool Erwin. There is a subject area "Transportation of passengers on routes by buses". The teacher said that there should be entities "flight" and "route". But I can’t figure out how to do it, if in fact it’s the same thing ... Or am I wrong?

The route is how the bus should go (along Lenina street, turn to Mira street, etc.), and the flight is the bus trip along the route.

Well, according to the idea, there should be a separate plate with routes and a separate plate with flights. The plate with flights indicates on which route something is going (let the bus). And in the table with routes, points on the route must be indicated (I would make a table like "Points on the ground" and then in "Flights" there would be a flight id and a point id (many to many)).
