How is the HDD warranty period calculated?

Hello.
A terrible thing happened - the HDD died (it worked for about 4 months). I recovered everything from it, and all the working and valuable information on it is stored in encrypted form, so I decided to take advantage of the charms of the guarantee.
1. Brought the disc to the store. The girl took it without any problems, but when asked how long to wait for the result, she said: “I don’t know, but according to the law, up to 45 days.”
Is this really true, or is 45 days a cruel joke?
2. Warranty for HDD was 12 months a little more 4. After I get my HDD back (repaired :) or new), what will happen to the warranty?
The period that has passed will be reset to zero - will it become 12 months again or will the old one remain the same?

The new device will have a new warranty with a period set by the manufacturer

1. 45 days is the maximum warranty repair period. For delay, you can demand 1 percent per day of the cost of equipment.
2. If you get it repaired, then the warranty period can be extended for the time that the device was under repair. If they issue a new one, there will be a new guarantee (I can’t vouch for this with my head :) )

Hard drives are usually not repaired, if the defect is confirmed, they will replace it and the warranty will be new.
However, even when repaired, the warranty is extended.

If there is an exchange of a disk, then the guarantee will go anew. If the disc is repaired, the warranty period will remain the same, except for the repair period. Repairs can take up to 45 days.
At your request, they must repair, refund the money on the check or offer a replacement. The last, if it is in the store. If the model is the same, then no surcharge.

100 percent of the hard drives that I handed over were returned to me new and with them a guarantee for a new period.
Passed several hundred hard drives in my life.

I recently found myself in the same situation. The disk began to squeal like a cut one, but all the data was merged, except for 2 files, they had a stable Read Fault. Further in the store I was offered either exactly the same or money back. But exactly the same now costs 1500, and I took it a year ago for 3500.
This is how you can weld 2000 rubles. Enough to make the disk squeal :)

a period of 45 days, this is the period after which you have the right to demand the return of the goods or replacement with a similar new one. The warranty period (1 year) is extended by the time the product was under repair.
I don’t remember the law itself, I scooped up the information I replaced the car under warranty
