How is it there in mobile?

Hello!
One way or another, I have been in web development for a long time, I have an idea of \u200b\u200bwhat a backend and frontend are. I realized that I like to have some kind of visual result of my work, create interactivity, etc. But there is, perhaps, a problem that confuses me when working in the web industry. This is an eternal finding somewhere in the middle of technology, where you have to think about a bunch of extra tinsel. You have modern tools that the developers of the past dreamed about, but not all of them can be equally supported by different browsers and you need to write rollbacks. One css property can result in a bunch of lines and additional technologies so that everything works for everyone. Sometimes you need to separately reread the work for the sake of 0.5% of users still sitting on IE. Some news about new technologies are perceived coolly, because. you will continue to write on grids and flexes and floats for many years to come. In JS, you can also smear yourself with modern goodies, but then kindly think about all the compatibility and support everything with crutches. This is my IMHO, I won’t say that I’m a seasoned web developer in the end, but somehow the concentration on the product itself that you make is lost among all this. So here's a question for mobile developers, how do you do it there? Do you need to think about a bunch of unnecessary things? Or can you just write code that works on all more or less modern devices? which you do. So here's a question for mobile developers, how is it with you there? PS I'm interested, because I'm thinking of changing direction
