How is it possible to put a start page on a wifi router?

Recently I saw that in some fast foods, when I connect to wifi, it throws me to a page with a condition for using the connection. I would like to implement the same for myself. How can this be done? The router and the type of its firmware does not matter. I mean in general for all types of routers.
