How important is a university rating for a programmer?

I study in the 11th grade. Is it worth going to a prestigious university like Moscow State Technical University or is there no difference, the main thing is a crust and a portfolio? It’s just that, as far as I know, in the Russian Federation, IT education is the bottom and the employer looks only at knowledge and skills, and the diploma is bureaucracy.

I have such an opinion.
If you or your family have the opportunity to get into a top university, then this must be done without any excuses.
If they are beyond your knowledge or can not afford, and the army is not for you, then do the best that is available to you.
If you don’t want to go to the army and you choose between several shitty provincial universities, then don’t. It’s better to go to work, gain experience, but do whatever you want.

RF IT-education is the bottom and the employer looks only at knowledge and skills, and the diploma is bureaucracy.

In Russia, a high school diploma will be an eternal bureaucracy - and when moving outside the homeland, this bureaucracy will not be superfluous on hand.
If possible, MSTU without options.

In fact, in the CIS, it doesn’t matter what higher education you have, what matters is what’s in your head.
If you are really cool in your business, you will not be left without a job.
I have a friend who graduated from a physical education institute, but now works as a system administrator at ZTE and receives crazy money. It's because he's really cool in this business.
Probably better to go to a simple university. Where there is really no study, all your free time you will be engaged in self-education, books on IT, video courses, etc.
