What questions are useful to ask senior developers?

Hello.
I am a June and at work there are a lot of questions , and (~ 90%) I deal with it myself.
I only ask questions that are difficult for me, when I don’t know where to dig anymore.
I often notice that I begin to understand even better the material that I explain to another.
Actually questions:

  • What questions are useful to ask senior developers? (For the benefit of both parties)
  • What questions do senior developers expect from their students? (Which would you like to be asked, but you cannot directly express your desire :)))

"I've done everything. What's next?" (joking)
"I'm thinking of doing this (show a diagram of how you understood the problem), right?"
"I haven't experienced this. Where do I start?"
"I want to optimize (indicator and optimization place). What do you say?"
"I'm trying to figure it out... I read... I did it... It didn't work. What did I miss?"
And the worst:

Which you would like to be asked, but you cannot directly express your desire :)))

It is helpful for people to ask questions about things they know well and are proud of. This is beneficial to both parties. It is harmful to force seniors to search on google, as if testing their competence, this is fearfully expected from students.

Junior and methods of rational thinking

You should ask questions like "Why do you think so, did you choose such a solution?"; those. explain their position to you. And do it when you don't agree with them. Thus, you will develop. And remember that there are no right answers.
Questions like "Check my assignment. Do a code review. What do you think of my work?" often do not make sense, because after receiving a response, you should analyze your code, work on errors and consolidate the material. Junes rarely do this. They rarely progress on their own mistakes.
The most important question you should ask is: "How to take your place?" And make yourself a roadmap. Of course, if you are ready to sit on the June for many many years, you can just work and gain experience, but this is the longest way.
