How fast is the Msata interface?

Hello everyone, there is a Toshiba NVME SSD with an M2 PCI express connector and a speed of 1600Mb / s.
I wanted to put it in an MSI GE70 2PL laptop, it turned out to be an MSATA connector. As a way out - I found an adapter, tell me, will it work at the same speed as M2, or will there still be a drop in speed? If so, by how much?

will not. even if it starts through an adapter, the speed will be like that of a regular sata disk - around 500mbs.
