How to properly install windows 10 on a new SSD?

There is licensed Windows 7 on the HDD on the PC and the ability to upgrade to Windows 10. There is a new, empty and not yet connected to the computer SSD. How and in what order do you need to act in order to correctly install the top ten on the SSD?
I looked for information on this topic, a certain algorithm of actions has developed, but I'm afraid to make a mistake. Did I understand correctly, please tell me? Point by point:
1) You must first start updating the seven to ten in the normal mode (this should allow Windows to "feel" that it is licensed, and then it will not require a key?), And then, when it prompts you to start updating or writing installation files to a USB flash drive / disk, then choose the second option - in my case it will be more convenient to write to a USB flash drive.
2) Prepare the SSD - turn off the computer, connect the SSD, start the computer, go into the BIOS and set up some special AHCI mode there.
3) Start the system and make sure that the SSD is recognized by it.
4) Disconnect the HDD (disconnect the wiring) to make it more convenient to install the system on an SSD - at least not to get confused in the partitions :)) Or will the SSD have only one large partition without the possibility of partitioning?
5) Insert a USB flash drive with dozens of installation files, start the computer, after which everything should start installing on the SSD by itself (the experience of updating from eight to ten on a laptop is already there, so the process of updating itself does not cause any special questions).
ps If everything is correct here, then after a successful update, will it be possible to simply format the HDD with the old seven? Or can it be left as a second OS - will they both work (not at the same time, of course)?

1)Enable AHCI driver. How to do this is written here - https://support.microsoft.com/ru-ru/kb/922976
2) Switch SATA to AHCI mode.
3) Clone disk seven to SSD. Using the cloning utility, or standard mechanisms, for example, by creating an image of a system disk and then restoring the image to an SSD.
4) Boot from the SSD and run the upgrade to ten.
