How does the site url structure change?

I'm going to put a new design on the site and change the URL scheme . Site.ru/posts/article-name/ will become site.ru/category-name/article-name.html . Everywhere on the Internet, it is advised to put a 301 redirect from old URLs to new ones. The site is half a year old, there are ~ 80 pages in the index. Several questions arose:

  • Does it even make sense to change the url scheme from my current one to the new one? Will there be an increase in traffic or score?
  • How much traffic will drop and for how long after changing urls?
  • After what time it will be possible to remove the redirect from the old urls?
  • What will happen to the search results of Yandex and Google? Will it contain both old and new urls? How long will the old ones disappear?

Search engines have ranking factors based on URLs. But in Yandex and Google they are exactly the opposite:
Therefore, in this matter, everything depends on your goals and objectives.
If you make redirects, then it should not sag.
If there are no external links to articles, then immediately after reindexing, you can remove them. If there are external links, then it is better not to remove redirects from old URLs (to which there are external links).
With the issuance of Yandex and Google, everything will be in order :)
If you put a 301 redirect, then the old and new ones should not appear in the search results at the same time.
